Suzanne Mallare Acton Artistic Fund
In honor of Suzanne Mallare Acton, proceeds from this music-filled tribute will establish the Suzanne Mallare Acton Artistic Fund. This fund will provide musical education and mentoring opportunities not otherwise available to promising young students, within the framework of the Rackham Symphony Choir. Under Suzanne's exceptional leadership, the fund will also support contemporary musical works presented by the Rackham Symphony Choir.

Known for her "supple, distinctive musical direction," Suzanne Mallare Acton continues to earn respect and admiration for her performances in both the concert hall and the opera stage. From Handel's Messiah to contemporary jazz, she is recognized for her versatility and dynamic style. Celebrating 10 years as the Music and Artistic Director of Rackham Symphony Choir, Suzanne brings innovative and multi-media works to the community as seen most recently in The Armed Man: A Concert for Peace and the Detroit holiday favorite, Too Hot to Handel. For the past 25 years, Suzanne has also received wide critical acclaim for her work as Assistant Music Director and Chorus Master for Michigan Opera Theatre.
