The Members The Rackham Symphony Choir, under the direction of Suzanne Mallare Acton, is a 100-member all-volunteer choir. Our diverse membership comes from all corners of the metropolitan area and contributes to our unique musical and stylistic blend. Many of our singers are classically trained and sing with the Michigan Opera Theatre but are drawn to membership in Rackham for the challenge of performing new, unique, unconventional works. The Experience Become a Member The Choir is an independent, non-profit organization, whose members are dues-paying volunteers and selected by audition.
