The
Members
The Rackham Symphony Choir, under the direction of Suzanne Mallare
Acton, is an 80-member all-volunteer choir. Our diverse membership
comes from all corners of the metropolitan area and contributes to
our unique musical and stylistic blend. Many of our singers are
classically trained and sing with the Michigan Opera Theater but are
drawn to membership in Rackham for the challenge of performing new,
unique, unconventional works.
The Experience
Singing with the Rackham Symphony Choir is a rewarding experience.
The works we perform are unique and challenging. We build our
musical foundation on the classic choral works and we take on
cutting edge musical works to bring these to the community. Learn
more about our
past performances. The Choir also
has the opportunity to work with many world-renowned performers.
